Job summary

InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician I to support service needs at the local InCharge Office. The role involves running conduit, wiring, installing, diagnosing and repairing electrical infrastructure, with frequent regional travel to deliver a safe, high-quality turnkey field experience.

Responsibilities include ballast and lamp maintenance, panel work, and assisting with EV charging system deployments, while maintaining safety standards and customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
  • OSHA 10 Card required or ability to obtain within 120 days.
  • Associate degree or higher in a technical field desirable.
  • ASE or other applicable certifications desirable.
  • Commercial Driver’s license or ability to obtain is highly desirable.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Procore or equivalent software a plus.
  • Ability to Travel 25-50%.

  • Understand voltage, current, resistance, and power for 120V and 240V circuits.
  • Proficiently use hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters).
  • Perform ballast and driver replacements, lamp swaps, and lighting maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair receptacles, switches, and related components.
  • Assist in installing breakers, labeling circuits, and load balancing.
  • Learn EV charging systems, workflows, and customer-service best practices.

The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician I to support the service needs of its customers. The technician will work at the local branch InCharge Office, reporting to the Service Manager. Key aspects of the work include running conduit, wiring and installation, diagnosing and repairing trouble with electrical infrastructure in addition to handling regularly scheduled maintenance. The role requires significant regional travel with a focus on ensuring a timely and customer-centered turnkey delivery experience. Key objectives include maintaining safety standards and timely completion of high-quality field installation work, and field support.

What You’ll Do
  • Work in both solo and team settings
  • Understanding voltage, current, resistance, and power. 120v and 240v
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters)
  • Perform ballast and driver replacements, lamp swaps, and other lighting maintenance tasks
  • Conduct hands-on electrical work, including replacing receptacles, switches, and related components
  • Basic troubleshooting skillsfor 120V and 240V circuits to identify and resolve issues
  • Learn electrical fundamentals, including voltage, current, resistance, and power
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters)
  • Wiring & Connections: Running conduit, pulling wire, making terminations 120v
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical faults and performing repairs
  • Panel Work: Installing breakers, labeling circuits, and understanding load balancing
  • Installation: Mounting fixtures, outlets, switches, and electrical panels
  • Shadow and assist experienced technicians in the field to learn EV charging systems, workflows, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices in customer service delivery
  • Support two-person work assignments and EPC-related field activities through hands-on assistance with installation and maintenance tasks
  • Represent the company at client locations with the highest standards of professional conduct
  • Participate in training courses for Solar, Battery and EV products
Your Experience and Capabilities
  • 0-2 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings
  • Electrical trainee card
  • OSHA 10 Card required or ability to obtain in 120 days of hire
  • Associate’s degree or higher in an applicable technical field is desirable
  • ASE or other applicable certifications are desirable
  • Commercial Driver’s license or ability to obtain is highly desirable
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, or equivalent software a plus
  • Ability to Travel 25-50%
US Hourly Range

$28-$33 USD
