Job summary

Fayette Heating & Air, part of TurnPoint Services, seeks an Electrical Technician to perform installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial customers. The role emphasizes safety, code compliance, and high-quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years electrical service or installation experience, a state Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred, and is committed to clear communication and teamwork. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years electrical service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• State Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, panels, load calculations, grounding/bonding, and low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards; PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Professional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and other electrical components.
• Installations: Perform new circuit installations, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, EV chargers, and other system enhancements.
• Preventive maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, load testing, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure code compliance.
• Safety & code compliance: Follow NEC, NFPA, and company safety standards; ensure all work passes inspections and meets local codes.
• Documentation: Complete service tickets accurately, including materials used, time, and detailed notes on work performed.
• Customer service: Communicate clearly with customers, explain repair options, and provide recommendations to improve system performance or safety.
• Team collaboration: Coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Equipment care: Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working order.
