Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services, seeking an Electric Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work while supporting daily operations and project activities.

The role collaborates with customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure electrical systems are installed safely and in conformity with industry standards. Entry-level experience and a high school diploma are acceptable.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support project execution.
• Support diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Assist senior technicians and support field operations as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
