Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Computer Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to maintain, support, and troubleshoot all production, auxiliary, and facility equipment to maximize uptime and safety.

The 12-hour shifts run day or night (7:00 am–7:00 pm or 7:00 pm–7:00 am); candidates must be willing to work either shift. The role starts at $33.85 per hour at the Fort Smith, AR facility, which uses Dixie plates and state-of-the-art technology.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electrician program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years or more as an Electrician or Electrical Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment while adhering to codes and procedures.

Georgia-Pacific is seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Computer Electronics and Instrumentation Technician. The Computer Electronics and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting all production, auxiliary, facility equipment and systems and performing a variety of maintenance duties, ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals while a safe operation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Two-year technical degree in a Electrical, Electronics, or Electrician program

What Will Put You Ahead

• Two or more years as an Electrician or Electrical Technician
• Experience with AC/DC motors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Possession of an Arkansas Electrical License
• Experience with Industrial Motor Controls (PLCs, Motor Controls, Control Valves, etc.)
• Experience with Servo Systems and Controllers One
