Job summary

VAA is seeking an Electrical Technician to support drawing preparation and drafting from concept through construction documents. You will work with designers and engineers to ensure CAD standards and accurate redlines, contributing to a variety of commercial, industrial and agribusiness projects.

The role involves setting up plans and details, coordinating plotter maintenance, and occasional travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher.
• OR at least 1 year of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up plans, sections and details to CAD standards under the direction of others.
• Identify redlines on drawings created by others and accurately make required changes.
• Enhance design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise.
• Coordinate plotter maintenance and project archiving as requested.
• May require occasional travel to construction job sites.
