Job summary

Simplot is seeking an Electrical Technician to independently troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical equipment in the Pasco vegetable processing plant. You will ensure all equipment is in safe working condition and compliant with codes.

The role requires 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read electrical drawings and manuals. You must be able to work any shift, weekends and overtime as needed, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years related electrical maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manuals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical equipment in packaging areas.
• Install plant equipment and run conduits as needed to supply power.
• Repair or replace breakers, motor starters, heaters, fuses, lights, drives, and motors.
• Work with instrumentation/PLC technicians and assist other maintenance staff.
• Maintain safety in accordance with codes and company policies.

Summary

The Electrical Technician works independently troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electrical equipment and ensures all equipment is in safe working condition within the packaging and processing areas of a vegetable processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Maintains all electrical systems from low voltages to 4160 voltRepairs or replaces all electrical devices including but not limited to: breaker panels, motor starters, heaters, fuses, lights, AC drives, motors, electrical switches, etc., all in accordance with state and federal codes including company policies and proceduresMaintains and troubleshoots VFDs, soft starts, lighting and control circuitsMust be able to install plant equipment, run conduits, pull wire, install switches, breaker panels, etc. as needed to supply power to plant electrical apparatusWorks with electrical meters such as amp clamps, volt meters, analog meters, meggers, etc.Must be able to assist all other maintenance personnel in the event of a major plant break downAssists the Instrumentation/PLC TechnicianPerforms other duties as assigned

Typical Education
