Job summary

Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC is seeking a full-time Industrial Electrical Technician in Millbury, MA. The role requires 1–2 years in an industrial electrical setting, 480V 3-phase experience, and knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910/1926 safety practices.

The successful candidate will work independently and in a team, perform installation and testing of electrical components, and adhere to safety standards. Field travel and tools provided by the candidate may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement electrical schematics, control wiring diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Layout, assembly, installation, and testing of electrical components (motors, instrumentation, fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers).
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair control panels, motors and electrical equipment.
• Isolate and repair defects in wiring, switches, motors, and equipment.
• Bend and install rigid PVC and EMT conduit.
• Pull electrical cables and wires.
• Use electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring devices.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and coworkers daily.
• Support maintenance with general duties.

Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is a leading environmental contractor located in Millbury, MA. GWTT provides Construction Dewatering, remediation and environmental construction services, including; dewatering systems design, manufacture, installation and operation. Additionally, we offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater and wastewater treatment systems.

Typical projects include groundwater depression and management for major construction projects, soil vapor extraction, air stripping, carbon adsorption, metals precipitation, pH neutralization, thermal/catalytic oxidation and in-situ chemical oxidation. GWTT provides a challenging, growth-oriented work environment, in which the right candidate will have the opportunity to develop and understand the necessary technical and managerial skills to excel in today’s competitive market.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Industrial Electrical Technician. Some experience in the environmental field is preferred although we are willing to train the right individual who is dependable and self-motivated. The ideal candidate works independently and is comfortable working in a team environment.

The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years in an industrial electrical setting, must be experienced in 480 volt, 3 phase voltage, and possess a working knowledge of the NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA standards for 1910 and 1926 related to safe electrical practices. Experience with explosion proof wiring is a plus.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Ability to interpret and implement electrical schematics control wiring diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Lay out, assembly, installation, and testing of electrical components such as motors, instrumentation, light fixtures, circuit breakers and transformers.
• Testing, troubleshooting and repair of control panels, electric motors and electrical equipment.
• Ability to isolate and repair defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.
• Bending and installation of rigid PVC and EMT conduit.
• Pulling electrical cables and wires.
• Ability to utilize electrical hand tools, and voltage and amperage measuring and recording devices.
• Daily interaction with customers, vendors, suppliers, and coworkers
• Other duties include assisting the maintenance department with any/all general maintenance and construction duties.

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Possess their own hand tools.
