About the Role

This is a small, entrepreneurial equipment manufacturer with a long-standing customer base and a team that takes real ownership of their work. The company is in an active growth phase, investing in people and building out its operations with intention. This is not a corporate environment. Decisions get made quickly, good ideas get heard, and the people who show up and contribute have a real impact on where the business goes.

The company is hiring an Engineering Technician to support production, service, and engineering teams across a hands‑on, cross‑departmental role. If you have a strong electrical background and enjoy working with your hands, and want to grow within a company that will invest in your development, this is worth a close look.

You will be working directly with equipment, performing electrical troubleshooting, installations, and field service support. Travel is minimal, roughly 10% of the time. The company is not looking for someone with a perfect resume. They are looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and the kind of reliability that earns trust.

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment as the primary focus of the role, both in‑house and in the field
  • Complete wiring, rewiring, and electrical work on production and manufacturing equipment
  • Read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
  • Conduct equipment installations at customer sites, ensuring proper electrical setup, calibration, and handoff
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during field service calls, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in support of electrical work
  • Assist with prototype assembly, equipment builds, and recalibration of existing machinery
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance with a focus on electrical systems and components
  • Document service work, installation notes, and equipment configurations accurately
  • Support production, service, and engineering departments on a cross‑functional basis as needed
  • Will be trained as the backup machinist, with hands‑on development provided for the right candidate
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related field is preferred
  • Electrical certifications are a plus
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with hands‑on experience wiring and working with electrical systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands‑on mechanical skills are a plus
  • Machining knowledge is a plus but not required; hands‑on training will be provided
  • Military background is a strong plus
  • Team‑oriented, open to learning, and willing to adapt as the company grows
  • No corporate resume required; the right attitude, work ethic, and reliability matter most
  • Self‑starter mentality with an entrepreneurial mindset. This company is growing fast and evolving, and the right person will embrace that, make the role their own, and grow as far as their drive and contributions take them
  • Perks and BenefitsDay shift with a consistent schedule and flexible start time if needed
  • Stable, privately owned company with a long‑standing customer base
  • In‑house training and development opportunities
  • A team‑first culture where contributions are recognized
  • Long‑term opportunity with a company committed to building from within
