Position Title or Job Classification: Electrical Technician

Business Unit: MP Mount Vernon

Location: Mt. Vernon, MO USA

Activity at Location: Manufacture of conveyors

Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the USA

Relocation: Relocation not available

Reports to: Finish Supervisor

Position Description: Responsible for the electrical diagnostics and wiring of conveyors

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or related field or a certificate and/or specialized training in electrical technology.

Certifications: Certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.

Language Requirements: Must speak, read, write English fluently

Experience Level: 2-4 years of experience in electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Wiring of production plants on the assembly lines, assisting with the fitting of electrical systems, trouble shooting software problems and electrical faults
  • Cataloging and analyzing system non-performances
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date, completed and filed
  • Actively minimize plant downtime in support of production by responding quickly to production line breakdown situations when required
  • Reading of electrical drawings
  • Involved in driving product and supplier electrical quality improvement
  • Liaison with Supervisors, Managers and team members

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or related field or a certificate and/or specialized training in electrical technology.
  • State electrical license is preferred.
  • PLC experience is preferred.
  • Experience of 3-phase and 12/24 VDC electrical control systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Experience of electric system installation and wiring on plant equipment in a high volume production environment
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical and hydraulic schematics and significant experience of electrical fault finding and diagnostics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial machine systems would be preferred as well as hydraulic pumps and valves.

Hourly rate $27-$30
