Job summary

MSR Technology Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for its Automotive Industry division in Georgetown, KY. The role involves installing, testing, and repairing electrical plant equipment, including switchgear, motors, and transformers, and programming PLCs and robotic systems.

The position requires handling low/high voltage systems, welding/machining knowledge is a plus, and the candidate must pass drug testing and background checks.

• Read electrical schematics and ensure all work meets NEC regulations.

Job description

Department: Automotive Industry Electrical Maintenance

Direct Client Need

Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 – 7:20, day/night available). Only work half the month (4 days on Week 1, 3 days on Week 2).

Overtime & Premium Pay: Overtime after 36/40 hours. Night shift differential up to +$3.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and repair electrical plant machinery, support equipment, switchgear, motors, and transformers.
• Write, program, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs, Kawasaki Robots, servo drives, CNC machines, and HMI applications.
• Diagnose and repair electrical circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and network/Ethernet protocols.
• Read electrical schematics and ensure all work meets local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience with low/high voltage systems, industrial electrical systems, and hand/power tools. Technical knowledge of welding and machining is a plus.
• Must pass a hair follicle drug test, complete background check, physical, and E-Verify.
• Flexible to work day or night 12-hour shifts, including overtime, weekends, and shutdowns.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled, dirty environment (graphite facility).
