Advantage Technical is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Technician in Dallas. You will maintain facilities, labs, and production equipment, ensuring automation systems function reliably.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing PLCs, drives, motors, instrumentation, and vision systems. Proficiency with SAP, blueprints, NEC/OSHA regs, and safety at heights is required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years post high school electrical/electronic training from an accredited program.
• 3+ years of industrial electrical/electronic experience preferred.
• Ability to read complex electrical/electronic equipment schematics, automation, and robotics.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, ARC Flash, and OSHA regulations.

Responsabilidades

Position Type: Contract or Direct Hire (Will consider both)

Position Salary: Open to Market

Responsibilities:

• Provides critical support to our production team by maintaining our facilities, laboratories, production machines, production equipment and consistently performing preventative maintenance.
• Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of PLC’s, AC/DC Drives, AC/DC motors, instrumentation, control wiring, and electronics.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical components in contact presses, combustion furnaces, dust collectors, exhaust systems, robotic equipment, AI equipment, conveyor systems, scales, and sorting machines.
• Provide electrical support for the facility, production, IT department, and Lab.
• Perform preventative maintenance and enter details and documentation in SAP.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and/or make modification to automated control systems hardware & software.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED a minimum; Higher Education is considered a plus
• 2 years post high school Electrical/Electronic training from a Department of Education accredited school (college) or Department of Labor accredited training organization (apprenticeship) required.
• 3+ years of industrial electric/electronic experience preferred.
• Ability to understand complex electrical/electronic equipment, circuits, standards, automation, process controls, and robotic systems.
• Ability to understand control wiring, blueprints, NEC, NFPA, ARC Flash, and OSHA regulations
• Able to work safely individually and with others at elevated heights indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to operate Windows, Microsoft Office, Teams, SAP, and other application software.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and make modifications to various PLC programs.
• Ability to adjust and troubleshoot vision/camera systems (Cognex In-Sight, Keyence XG-X Vision Terminal, and Keyence IV-Navigator software).
• Experience with industrial robots.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and make modifications to HMI’s.
