Job summary

T1 Energy in Wilmer, Texas is building a domestic solar manufacturing campus and seeks an Electrical Technician to maintain and improve plant electrical systems.

You will troubleshoot, install, and service critical equipment, train junior technicians, and ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC and OSHA standards while supporting small capital projects and ongoing O&M tasks.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman license is required.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA, NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics and specifications.
  • Experience in renewable energy, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical systems.
  • Train junior technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Assess facility conditions and propose upgrades and preventative actions.
  • Support small capital projects and O&M activities.
  • Oversee vendors, ensure compliance with T1 Energy policies and codes.
  • Perform wiring, testing, and maintenance of environmental and life-safety systems.
  • Read and interpret diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues.
  • Troubleshoot simple AC circuits and replace blown fuses.
  • Coordinate system power recovery for the building.
  • Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and control equipment.
  • Apply electrical, electronic, and mechanical knowledge to diagnose malfunctions.

Electrical Technician
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Assess facility and equipment conditions and make proactive recommendations forupgrades, repairs, and preventative strategies.
  • Support the execution of small capital improvement and O&M projects.
  • Oversee work performed by external vendors, ensuring compliance with T1 Energy policies, OSHA standards, and local/federal codes.
  • Perform electrical wiring, testing, inspections, and maintenance of environmental and lifesafety systems under regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Read and interpret complex diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoots simple AC circuitry. Identifies and replaces blown fuses.
  • Systematically perform power recovery of the building.
  • Conducts operation, maintenance, tests, and repairs of mechanical, electrical and controls equipment, systems, and components.
  • Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and mechanical support.
Required Qualifications:
  • Journeyman’s license required
  • Solid understanding of NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret single-line diagrams, technical blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience working in renewable energy, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments.
