Job description

OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for anElectrical Technicianto join our team inColumbus, OH!

As anElectrical Technicianyou will be responsible for electrical panel enclosure, fabrication, and installation in the shop and at customer sites. Please note that there is a degree of travel involved in this role, including occasional overnight trips.

What You’ll Do:

  • Electrical panel/enclosure fabrication, equipment installation, service, and maintenance.
  • Solder cables and bulkheads.
  • Machine enclosures/back plates using hand/power tools.
  • Wire enclosures/back plates, as well as neatly bundle wires when routing.
  • Ability to understand and make minor modifications to electrical schematics including power and control circuits and identify required components.
  • Install cable tray.
  • Layout, route, terminate, and test robot fixtures and/or jigs.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and repair equipment mechanically and electrically with assistance.
  • Assist in training Associate Controls Technicians.
  • Adhere to PK Controls quality standards during all aspects of the panel manufacturing process including, but not limited to machining, fabrication, wiring, quality inspection, delivery, and installation to ensure a quality product or service.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Need:
  • High school degree required and completed course work towards a business or technical related degree preferred.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude required – no specific industry experience needed.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related programs.
  • Some work is performed on site at customer or vendor facilities. Locations will vary based on customer requirements and location but will involve overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. If working in the field, you will be required to drive your own vehicle to the site (no service truck provided).
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
