Job summary

Renu Energy Solutions is hiring an Electrical Technician in the Carolinas. In this field-based role, you will assist with the installation of residential and commercial solar PV and energy storage systems, working with experienced professionals to ensure safe, high-quality installations that meet company standards and electrical codes.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely on rooftops, ladders, attics, crawlspaces and confined spaces.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• General knowledge of electrical work, construction and OSHA safety practices.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install solar PV and energy storage systems from start to finish.
• Install system components following electrical diagrams and specs.
• Work safely and in compliance with electrical codes and project requirements.
• Support Electrical Team Lead and crew for efficient project completion.
• Maintain work vehicles, tools, equipment and inventory.
• Assist with rooftop work and other field installation activities.
• Complete training and contribute to a positive team environment.

We're looking for an Electrical Technician to join our growing team. In this field-based role, you'll assist with the installation of residential and commercial solar PV and energy storage systems while working alongside experienced professionals to deliver safe, high-quality installations that meet company standards and electrical codes. Whether you're experienced in solar or looking to grow your electrical career, Renu provides classroom and hands-on field training during your first 30 days. All tools and required safety equipment are provided, and some local travel between job sites is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• System Installation: Assist with the installation of solar PV and energy storage systems from start to finish.
• Electrical Work: Install system components while following electrical diagrams, specifications, and project requirements.
• Quality & Safety: Perform work in accordance with company standards, electrical codes, and safety requirements.
• Team Support: Assist the Electrical Team Lead and crew members to ensure efficient project completion.
• Equipment Management: Maintain work vehicles, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Field Service: Assist with electrical upgrades, rooftop work, and other field installation activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Complete training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

Required / Minimum

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred / Helpful

• 1+ year of electrical experience
• 1+ year of solar electrical experience
• Experience with residential or commercial electrical installations
