Job summary

Modern Machinery of Beaverton is seeking a dependable Electrical Technician to assemble and install electrical components for industrial equipment, following blueprints and electrical schematics. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity in a production environment.

Ideal candidates will read drawings, handle electrical systems, and lift up to 50 pounds while complying with all procedures. Travel and occasional overtime may be required as part of production needs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electromechanical devices and electrical circuitry.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Passport or ability to obtain one; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wiring, switches, cables following blueprints and schematics.
  • Operate equipment safely and report hazards to supervision.
  • Assist in assembly using required tools and procedures.
  • Maintain output to minimize production delays.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Communicate with coworkers to coordinate workflow.
  • Assist other personnel in the area when needed.

Modern Machinery is seeking a dependable and skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The Electrical Technician will assemble and install electrical components, wiring, switches, cables, and related systems using blueprints and electrical schematics. This position plays an important role in the assembly and production of industrial equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Job Description
  1. Uses blue prints or electrical schematics to assemble wiring, switches, cables, and other electrical pieces in an efficient manner to maximize production.
  2. Operates the equipment in a safe manner and reports hazards associated with the equipment or its operators to the Supervisor.
  3. Follows required procedures and uses appropriate tools to assist in the assembly process.
  4. Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
  5. Cleans and maintains an orderly work area.
  6. Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
  7. Assist other individuals in area when needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Knowledge of electromechanical devices, electrical or industrial motor controls or circuitry, digital and analog circuits, soldering techniques, fundamentals of electronics.
  2. Ability to stand for long periods.
  3. Good communications skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
  4. Ability to read blueprint drawings and electrical schematics.
  5. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  6. Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead.
  7. Ability to climb and work from a ladder.
  8. Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated tools.
Requirements

  3. Travel & Occasional over time
