Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Technical Specialist to support Building Engineering Services. You will perform engineering tasks under a licensed engineer, design calculations, and produce construction documents using CAD and related software.

The role requires an associate degree with at least 5 years of engineering experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preference for multi-disciplinary collaboration and advanced degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline.
• Aptitude and hands-on experience with computing applications relevant to the discipline.
• Knowledge of industry standards in the discipline.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Design tasks involving evaluation and application of engineering techniques.
• Produce design drawings and construction documents via CAD and other software.
• Prepare design or quantity calculations.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents.
• Coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
• Attend to other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer.

• Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other software

• Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer
