Job summary

Sol-Ark, based in Texas, seeks an Electrical Systems Test Engineer to own validation strategy and production/engineering test systems. This role collaborates across engineering and manufacturing to deliver robust test solutions and calibration capabilities at our Allen, TX facility.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in power electronics, test engineering, and automation, with Python, LabVIEW, and TestStand proficiency and a track record of cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with power electronics, embedded systems, and analog/digital electronics.
• Proficiency with instrumentation, environmental testing, and calibration systems.
• Working knowledge of Python, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
• Experience with SQL, Git, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated technical project management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy for engineering validation, manufacturing, and calibration.
• Lead development of production and engineering test systems.
• Manage internal engineering resources and external vendors.
• Develop test requirements from product specifications.
• Own manufacturing test stations throughout their lifecycle.
• Define calibration methodologies and equipment.
• Lead engineering validation testing and qualification activities.
• Drive design-for-test (DFT) improvements with hardware and firmware teams.
• Specify instrumentation and automated test equipment.
• Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, LabVIEW, or similar technologies.
• Analyze test data to improve product quality and manufacturing yield.
• Manage test equipment budgets, schedules, and project execution.
• Ensure documentation, traceability, and configuration management.
• Support factory test issues and continuous improvement initiatives.

Location

This position will be onsite at our corporate offices in Allen, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area). This is not a remote position.

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Test Engineer to own validation strategy, requirements, manufacturing test systems, calibration, and test projects.
