Job summary

West Georgia Technical College is seeking an Electrical Systems Technology Instructor to lead both theory and hands-on labs for the Electrical Systems Technology program at the Coweta-CEC and Carroll Campus.

The role requires a diploma in Electrical Systems Technology (or related degree) or GA CILB Electrical Contractor License, plus at least three years as electrician or apprentice; teaching experience is preferred. This is a full-time position with day/evening classes and online components.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Systems Technology or related diploma/degree.
• GA CILB Electrical Contractor License accepted.
• Three (3) years out of the past five (5) years as an Electrician or Electrical Apprentice.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Electrical Systems Technology or related field; direct teaching experience at the post-secondary level; online teaching experience.

Instructor pay is based on a 40-hour work week with 29 hours of course contact per week. A minimum of 35 hours per week must be on campus. This position is located at the Coweta-CEC.
