Job summary

Otto Aerospace LLC is seeking an Electrical System Test Engineer to own lab electrical drawings and test setups, reporting to the Manager of System Integration and Simulation Test. You will create schematics and ensure configurations reflect test requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical/related field, 3+ years CAD/wiring experience, and familiarity with avionics; you'll work in a fast-paced lab environment developing tests and documenting results.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
3+ years of experience with electrical CAD and wiring design tools.
Familiarity with aircraft systems and lab instrumentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for labs.
Develop bench interconnect drawings for test rigs and simulator setups.
Generate ICDs, signal routing docs, and as-built drawings.
Define pin-to-pin wiring between LRUs and test equipment.
Translate test requirements into lab wiring configurations.
Support installation of sensors, actuators, and electrical load banks.
Develop and execute test plans to validate system performance.
Collect data, analyze results, and generate test reports.
Maintain lab equipment, software, and documentation to meet standards.
