Job summary

Kaleidoscope Innovation is seeking an Electrical Systems Integration professional to join our team. The role supports multiple U.S. locations and focuses on improving electrical architectures for current and future airplane programs.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering and have 5+ years of relevant experience, with knowledge of RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD and airworthiness regulations. Strong communication and autonomous work style are valued.

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years in electrical system integration or related experience.
  • Have knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.) and are familiar with airworthiness regulations (FAA/EASA/TCCA).
  • Comfortable working in a team and interacting with other functions to achieve goals.
  • Good oral and technical writing skills; French is an asset; ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Electrical Systems improvements and developments for airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate new technologies).
  • Prepare or review engineering documents related to electrical system changes on customer airplanes (production and in-service).
  • Propose and test approaches to optimize emissions, cost, weight, and performance of business airplanes.
  • Contribute to trade studies for new technology integration on aircraft.
  • Learn and share lessons learned in Electrical Knowledge Domain and coordinate with partners and suppliers.
  • Represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Electrical Systems technical improvements & developments for our existing and future airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate new technologies, etc.),
  • Prepare/review engineering documents related to electrical system changes on Customer airplanes (production + in-service aircraft),
  • Propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize business airplanes on aspects such as emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, customer satisfaction, etc,
  • Contribute to trade studies associated to new technology introduction and integration on aircraft,
  • Learn and contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and best industry practices (product & process),
  • Manage interfaces with internal & external partners and suppliers for technical aspects,
  • Represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators.

  • Can work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to achieve the goals allocated for you,
  • Motivated to learn and work on multiple projects at the same time.
