Job DescriptionJob DescriptionImagine joining an industry leader that is shaping the future of mission critical data center infrastructure and manufacturing marketplace development while furthering your career in Electrical Engineering as a Systems Engineer within the Data Center Space alongside other Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Technology and Manufacturing professionals.The Electrical Systems Engineer is a customer-facing technical expert responsible for designing and supporting electrical systems for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical environments. This role bridges client requirements with internal engineering by working closely with Sales, Applications Engineering, Project Management, and Manufacturing.Remote Employment opportunity available.Why Hyper?•Competitive salary and benefits package including: Employer Paid Medical, dental and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance, Company paid short-term and long term 401K Plan with company matching Generous PTO policy and paid holidays•Collaborative and innovative work environment.•Opportunities for professional growth and development.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:Review and interpret customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and Basis of Design (BOD) documents.Support the specification of integrated MV/LV systems, including switchgear, PDUs, STS, and RPPs.Serve as the technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.Lead and support customer meetings, design walkthroughs, and technical clarifications.Collaborate with Sales and Applications Engineering to prepare quotes and submittalsStay informed on emerging technologies, especially those impacting power distribution for AI and edge computing.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.3+ years in electrical power systems, ideally in data center or mission-critical environments.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.Experience with OEM systems (e.g., Schneider Electric, GE, ABB, Siemens, SEL).Background working with consulting engineers, OEMs, or EPC firms.Understanding of how AI infrastructure impacts power density and system designAbility to travel at least 30% of the time.Hyper, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to compliance with all applicable laws prohibiting employment discrimination.
