Job summary

Dearing Compressor & Pump in Youngstown, OH, seeks an electrical assembler to prepare and assemble electrical components for compressor packages. You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, plan conduit routes, bend conduit, and install electrical devices and instrumentation on assemblies.

Responsibilities include pulling and terminating wiring, welding for conduit mounting, and collaborating with the production team to coordinate routing and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly drawings.
• Plan and execute conduit routes based on drawings.
• Use conduit bender to form conduit runs around obstacles.
• Install electrical devices and instrumentation on compressor packages.
• Pull and terminate different types of wiring.
• Weld to attach strut for mounting conduit.
• Use Excel to import able tags.
• Coordinate routing and corrective action plans with production.

Summary

Prepares and assembles electrical components of compressor packages by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly and schematic drawings, and receives verbal instructions regarding work assignment.
• Plan and execute conduit routes based on drawings
• Use conduit bender to form conduit runs around obstacles
• Understands and installs different components and parts such as electrical devices and instrumentation on compressor packages.
• Pull and terminate different types of wiring.
• Use a welder to attach strut for mounting conduit to compressor package
• The ability to use excel spreadsheets to import able tags.
• Must be able to communicate and work together with other members of production in order to coordinate upcoming routing and corrective action plans when needed.
• May cross-train in other functions of the assembly team.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training
• 2-5 year’s experience working in an industrial environment
• Ability to read blue prints and use simple math skills
• Ability to read and interpreta tape measure
• Must be able to work as a team
• Ability to pass a drug test
