Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Supplier Quality Development Engineer (SQD) to lead supplier programs from design release through post-launch. You will drive advanced quality planning, process development, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing and purchasing to ensure high-quality components for vehicle programs.

The role requires strong problem-solving, travel up to 40% in the US/Canada/Mexico region, and a focus on continuous improvement across the supply base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive engineering, manufacturing, or supplier ops.
• Vehicle electronics hardware/software background in design release or resident engineering.
• Knowledgeable in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and structured problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional leadership abilities.
• Proven track record managing multiple supplier projects.
• Willingness to travel 20–40% within USA/Canada/Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage suppliers in advanced quality planning and process development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing.
• Review processes and develop quality systems to meet Stellantis requirements.
• Drive supplier problem solving and post-launch continuous improvement.
• Audit and visit supplier base to ensure quality and capability.
• Act as technical expert for electrical component technology in programs.
