Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop field personnel and subcontractors to ensure safety and quality.
  • Review daily schedules and coordinate day-to-day activities for crews and subcontractors.
  • Plan, organize, and direct field production per project plans and specifications.
  • Monitor job progress, crew performance, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Serve as liaison between Project Managers, field electricians, office staff, and homeowners.
  • Coordinate meetings with builders and other trades to resolve issues.
  • Ensure all electrical installations meet NEC and local codes.
  • Promote safe work practices and enforce safety policies.
  • Identify, report, and address safety hazards and job-site concerns.
  • Assist with electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and manage tools/equipment.
  • Complete and maintain field documentation such as daily reports and time records.

The Electrical Field Supervisor oversees daily field operations and leads electrical crews to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards. This role emphasizes crew leadership, training, and field coordination, while also performing hands‑on electrical work as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop field personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, project requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Review daily schedules and coordinate day‑to‑day job activities for employees and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with job‑specific scopes of work.
  • Plan, organize, and direct field production in accordance with project plans, drawings, specifications, construction schedules, and contracted scopes of work.
  • Monitor job progress, crew performance, scheduling, and logistics to maintain productivity, efficiency, and consistency across projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between Project Managers, field electricians, office staff, builders, homeowners, and other trades to communicate job status, coordinate production, and address field needs and concerns.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with builders and other trades to identify, communicate, and resolve scheduling conflicts, construction issues, and other project‑related concerns.
  • Ensure all electrical installations meet quality and workmanship standards, as well as applicable NEC requirements, state and local codes, project drawings, specifications, and company standards.
  • Lead by example in safe work practices and help implement, communicate, and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Identify, report, and address safety hazards, job site issues, complaints, damages, accidents, delays, and other operational concerns, providing corrective guidance and escalating matters when appropriate.
  • Review workmanship and field procedures, provide corrective direction when standards are not met, and work with crews to resolve installation or performance issues.
  • Assist with electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed to support project completion and field operations.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with builders, homeowners, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe and proper working condition.
  • Complete and maintain required field documentation, including daily reports, time records, job notes, and other project‑related records.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of prior electrical superintendent experience running residential projects
  • Must have a current Wireman or Journeyman level license
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work, communicate well, deliver quality work and build relationships with homeowners, builders, and coworkers
  • Familiarity with computers and managing a large amount of paperwork
  • Perform the physical demands of the position - working in indoor and outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions; climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects
  • Willing to undergo a pre‑employment criminal, driving, and drug screen
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may require some portion of the day on Saturday, emergency, and "on call" time as needed
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
