Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an Electrical Supervisor in Virginia Beach, VA. You will lead the electrical maintenance team in a manufacturing setting, ensuring reliability, safety, and uptime of production equipment.

The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with strong leadership across shifts. Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, diagnosing PLC-based issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and driving preventive/predictive programs while maintaining OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial electrical/maintenance in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E and electrical safety.
• Strong communication across departments and teams.
• Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop electrical maintenance technicians.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls, automation, and PLCs.
• Prioritize daily electrical maintenance to meet production needs.
• Respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support installations, upgrades, and capital projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to resolve issues.
• Ensure OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain electrical schematics and maintenance records.
• Provide training and promote continuous improvement.
• Lead across shifts to maintain continuity.
• Improve reliability and production performance while ensuring safety.
