Job description

About BaseBase is America’s next‑generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.

About the Role

Base is looking for an Electrician Supervisor to lead and develop Field Service crews across Connecticut. This role will be an important part of Base Power’s expansion beyond Texas and will help establish how we operate, train, and deliver high‑quality electrical work in a new market. As an Electrician Supervisor, you’ll be a hands‑on leader responsible for supporting crews in the field, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, maintaining high standards for safety and quality, and helping electricians grow their technical capabilities. You’ll work closely with Field Operations leadership to build strong crews and ensure installations and service work are completed safely, efficiently, and consistently. The ideal candidate is an experienced electrician and people leader who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, developing others, and building strong processes in a fast‑moving environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, coach, and support electrician and installer crews across the Connecticut market.
  • Supervise the installation and service of residential battery backup systems.
  • Provide hands‑on technical guidance and support for complex installations and field issues.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and hardware failures in the field.
  • Coordinate and oversee repairs related to inspection failures or installation quality issues.
  • Onboard and facilitate training for new electricians, installer crews, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct field observations and provide coaching to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and consistency across crews.
  • Ensure field work meets Base standards as well as applicable electrical codes and local requirements.
  • Partner with inspectors and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to support inspections and resolve field issues.
  • Attend and support electrical inspections as needed.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Base hardware, installation standards, general electrical principles, and applicable NEC requirements.
  • Identify recurring field issues and partner with operations and engineering teams to improve processes, training, and installation standards.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience leading, supervising, or training skilled crews.
  • Solid background in—or readiness to master—residential electrical setups, workplace safety standards, and relevant National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide clear technical direction to field teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop electricians with varying levels of experience.
  • Experience with the installation or maintenance of complex systems.
  • Comfort working in a fast‑moving environment where processes and teams are continuing to develop.
  • Availability to onboard, train, and observe battery system installations near Base’s manufacturing and operations headquarters in Austin, Texas. We anticipate in‑person onboarding to take approximately 30 days.
About the Team

The Field Operations team is responsible for bringing Base’s battery systems into customers’ homes safely, efficiently, and at scale. Our electricians and installers are the teams in the field making that happen every day. As an Electrician Supervisor in Connecticut, you’ll help build and develop the crews responsible for launching and growing one of Base’s newest markets. You’ll spend significant time in the field coaching electricians, solving technical problems, reinforcing safety and quality standards, and making sure our teams have what they need to succeed. Because we’re still building our operations in Connecticut, this role will also have an opportunity to shape how the team operates as we grow. We’re looking for someone who combines strong electrical expertise with hands‑on leadership and is excited to build a high‑performing field organization from the ground up.

Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.

Our Values
  • First Principles Thinking: Question assumptions. Principles > rules.
  • Operate at Base Pace: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.
  • Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble, and maintain a growth mindset.
  • Everyone’s an Owner: Follow through on commitments and own results.
  • Strong Opinions, Loosely Held: Drive clarity and make calls with imperfect information.
  • Committed to the Mission: Rebuilding the grid is a big challenge. We work hard because we care deeply about the impact we’re creating. We work in‑person. It’s not a 9‑to‑5. We are all‑in.
  • Fun & Optimism Coexist with Grit: Collaboration and celebration coincide with the intensity of building real things.

Do the best work of your life at Base.
