Job summary

Canfor is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead a high-performing electrical team in an industrial setting. The role focuses on reliability, efficiency, and safety while driving maintenance strategies and uptime across the facility.

You’ll report to the Maintenance Superintendent and own electrical maintenance activities, coordinating with other teams to minimize downtime and cost. A strong background in PLCs, OSHA, and plant equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
• 10+ years as Industrial Electrician with PLC skills.
• Thorough knowledge of plant equipment and operations.
• Expertise in electronic maintenance systems and OSHA regulations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of lumber manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the electrical maintenance team to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair critical equipment in a fast-paced plant environment.
• Drive safety, quality, and performance standards across maintenance activities.
• Train and mentor staff; plan work schedules and delegate tasks.
• Document and schedule predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.

• Order parts and materials as needed and prepare reports for management.
