Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Frisco City, AL seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead the plant electrical production function and supervise technicians. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement within the工 environment.

The supervisor will coordinate with Systems Engineers and operations to optimize power distribution, protect equipment, and drive PBM-based teamwork and results.

Qualifications

  • Electrical and E&I experience in an industrial environment.
  • Supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with PLCs, motor controls, control valves, and electrical distribution.
  • Experience with industrial instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics/blueprints.
  • Experience with reliability, predictive/preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical and support staff, uphold PBM principles and foster teamwork.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, testing of electrical equipment including PLCs, HMIs, motors, transformers, and panels.
  • Collaborate with mill Systems Engineers on electrical power and distribution.
  • Work with operations to improve reliability and safety performance.
  • Promote safe workplace practices and lead by example.
  • Lead maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives for electrical systems.
  • Meet safety, cost, and productivity objectives.
  • Attend daily mill metrics meetings and drive change through proven reliability methods.

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for our lumber mill in Frisco City, AL. The Electrical Supervisor will manage the plant electrical production function as completed by day-to-day activities by electrical technicians throughout the facility. This position is responsible for supervising electrical and supporting staff personnel, managing in a way that supports/enhances Principled Based Management, fosters teamwork and produces results.

What You Will Do
  • Supervise electrical and support staff personnel, manage in a way that supports/enhances our PBM principles, fosters teamwork and produces results.
  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair and testing of a wide range of electrical equipment such as programmable logic controllers, HMI Systems, generators, motors, transformers, control panels, cables, power distribution systems and associated switchgear in the plant.
  • Work in conjunction with mill System Engineers in the electrical power and distribution throughout the facility.
  • Work with the facility operations group to increase reliability while improving safe plant performance.
  • Assure safe workplace practices are always followed and drive safety awareness through leading by example.
  • Improve and lead the electrical organization which would include but not be limited to predictive, preventive and proactive electrical maintenance analysis as well as designing and implementing long-term continuous improvement applications and systems to enhance electrical reliability while supervising the day-to-day activities of the mills electrical systems.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement processes through decision making, employee involvement, systems and training.
  • Meet and exceed objectives and metrics for safety, cost and productivity performance.
  • Attend daily mill metrics meetings for all dept's, participate in learning activities and drive change through precise execution of proven reliability techniques.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Electrical and E&I experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment
  • Supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment
  • Experience with industrial controls PLCs, motor controls, control valves, and electrical distribution
  • Experience with industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperature
  • Experience reading and following electrical and mechanical schematics / blueprints
  • Experience with electrical reliability, predictive and preventive maintenance, and Root Cause Failure Analysis
