Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to collaborate with the Reliability Engineer in analyzing downtime, driving root-cause solutions, and coordinating electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

You will oversee maintenance planning, enforce safety standards, and ensure compliance with the Quality System while guiding the electrical team through repairs and preventive maintenance of process equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Master Electrician, or high school with specialized trades training in mechanical/electrical/maintenance crafts.
• 5+ years industrial mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
• Experience with material handling feeders, conveyors or belt systems, and pumping systems.
• Experience with PLC or Wonderware troubleshooting is required.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with CMMS, SAP and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Work with Reliability Engineer to analyze downtime reports to eliminate trends and prevent problems from affecting production.
• Monitor SAP for completion of electrical maintenance tasks.
• Be a role model in safety performance in the electrical shop and beyond.
• Collaborate with Planner on electrical repairs and preventive maintenance of process equipment.
• Maintain and update Quality System policies and procedures.
• Create or review all department work instructions for operational content.
• Participate in safety training for assigned employees.
• Interface with MSHA and other safety agencies as required.
• Coordinate and supervise electrical employees’ activities.
• Ensure preventative actions are taken to prevent nonconformities in product, process, or quality system.

Job description

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Work with Reliability Engineer to analyze downtime reports in order to delete trends and correct systems of problems before they affect production;


• Monitor planned maintenance system (SAP) for completion of electrical maintenance;


• Be a role model in Safety performance for the electrical shop as well as others;


• Work with Planner on electrical repairs and preventive maintenance of process equipment;


• Maintenance of the Quality System policies and procedures;


• Creation or review of all work instructions in department for operational content;


• Participate in appropriate safety training for all assigned employees


• Interface with MSHA and other governing health and safety agencies at local and federal level as required


• Coordinate and monitor the activities of all electrical employees assigned


• Ensure preventative action is taken to avoid the occurrence of nonconformities relating to product or process or to the quality system

Job Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Master Electrician or related field, or a high school education with a specialized trades training in mechanical, electrical, maintenance shop, plumbing and/or welding crafts, Bachelor’s Degree preferred


• 5+ years industrial, mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment


• 2+ years of supervisory experience; industry background in heavy manufacturing related; mining, paper mills, steel plants, refining, utilities, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants industries preferred


• Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions; working knowledge of material handling feeders, convey or belt systems, and general knowledge pumping systems; experience in PLC or Wonderware troubleshooting is required


• Strong computer skills; experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP and Microsoft Project experience is a plus


• Strong interpersonal/people skills; results driven; self-starter; able to initiate and be willing to hold others accountable for achieving company and site objectives
