EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for Data Center Construction to lead field teams, coordinate with managers, clients, and suppliers, and drive project success on schedule and budget.

The role emphasizes training staff, managing day-to-day operations on multiple projects, maintaining schedules, and ensuring safety and quality across all site activities.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as Electrical Superintendent or Electrical General Foreman on construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Communicate site problems, schedules, and quality issues to the Project Manager and owner.
• Ensure safety program compliance and conduct toolbox talks.
• Assist Project Manager with subcontractor coordination, changes, and claims.
• Ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise activities determining the construction method, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule.
• Help train and manage other field staff.
• Manage the day‑to‑day activities of the construction operation of multiple mid‑sized projects simultaneously or a single large/hyper scale project.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager, help create and maintain project schedules; plan, monitor, and review critical path dates and milestone schedules.
• Communicate site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner.
• Resolve field construction problems.
• Maintain open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., supporting project activities and schedule.
• Monitor field staff & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensure that weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed; and implement corrective measures.
• Assist the Safety Department in incident and accident investigations and follow‑up.
• Understand all subcontractors’ scopes; ensure subcontractors maintain schedules and quality standards to meet contract requirements.
• Assist the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination.
• Work with the Project Manager and owner’s representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.
• Support the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes.
• Provide input to Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts.
• Assist the Project Manager with Change Order review.
• Perform project close-out and ensure the punch list is completed on time.
• Mentors Project Associates assigned to the project.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years' experience on construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent or Electrical General Foreman role (or higher) position.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and the ability to control and supervise minor to mid‑sized groups.
• Good organization, multi‑tasking, leadership, and decision‑making ability.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment‑based visa sponsorship (including H‑1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
