Job summary

Copperline Electric, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on high-rise residential and commercial construction projects in Florida. You will collaborate with Project Managers, General Superintendents, and field teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role demands a proactive leader who can coordinate with clients, trade partners, inspectors, and BIM teams, while driving performance and mentorship across the workforce.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the commercial electrical construction trade.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience serving as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-rise residential/commercial projects with various structural systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and commercial construction best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple field teams while maintaining schedules, quality, and safety.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software.

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead the successful execution of our high-rise residential and commercial construction projects.

About the Role

As an Electrical Superintendent, you'll provide field leadership for complex high-rise electrical construction projects from mobilization through project completion. Working closely with Project Managers, General Superintendents, Area Forepersons, and Field Support personnel, you'll lead day-to-day field operations while building strong relationships with clients, general contractors, trade partners, inspectors, and other project stakeholders to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules, specifications, and Copperline's quality standards.

  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily field operations for assigned construction projects.
  • Develop field execution strategies while coordinating closely with Project Managers and other project stakeholders.

Project Coordination
  • Coordinate manpower, material deliveries, equipment, subcontractors, inspections, and other project resources.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers, owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate closely with Copperline's in-house VDC/BIM team to support project planning, layout, clash detection, and successful field execution
  • Monitor project progress and communicate schedule impacts, field concerns, and resource needs to project leadership.
  • Support successful project closeout activities, including testing, commissioning, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
Safety & Quality
  • Champion Copperline's safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.
  • Verify work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project drawings and quality standards.
  • Identify safety concerns, quality issues, and project risks while implementing timely corrective actions.
Communication & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, manpower records, and other required project documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel and project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
  • Provide timely updates regarding project status, productivity, scheduling, and field conditions.
What You’ll Bring | Requirements
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the commercial electrical construction trade
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience serving as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading high-rise residential and/or commercial electrical construction projects utilizing a variety of structural systems, including post-tension (PT), hollow core, dual deck, wood frame, and tunnel form construction
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and commercial construction best practices
  • Proven ability to lead multiple field teams while maintaining project schedules, quality standards, and safety expectations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of construction management software such as Procore, Fieldwire, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, OpenSpace, or similar platforms
  • Experience collaborating with VDC/BIM teams to support the successful execution of commercial electrical construction projects
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This position primarily works on active high-rise commercial construction sites. Employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and other environmental conditions, as well as elevated work areas, moving equipment, energized systems, construction materials, dust, noise, and other hazards commonly associated with commercial construction.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work safely at heights, on ladders, in confined spaces, and on uneven terrain as project conditions require.
  • Wear and properly utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Possess the visual acuity, manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina necessary to safely perform electrical construction work.
Travel & Schedule
  • This position includes a company-provided vehicle.
  • Project assignments are based on business needs. Employees may be assigned to projects throughout their designated region, and project locations may vary over the course of employment.
  • Work schedules are based on project needs and may include evenings, weekends, or adjusted start and end times.
