Job summary

Rogers Electric in Knoxville, TN is seeking a talented Superintendent to lead onsite electrical teams on commercial and industrial construction projects. You will oversee foremen, coordinate daily field activities, and ensure safety and quality on every site.

You’ll travel to job sites with short notice, mentor crews, review progress, and partner with project managers to manage manpower, materials and equipment. A strong electrical background and exceptional communication are required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience.
• Experience leading foremen and field crews on construction sites.
• Extensive electrical installation, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting skills.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred; OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite leadership for electrical superintendent and foremen.
• Travel to work sites with short notice and ensure safety walks and quality checks.
• Coach foremen on reviews and cost-to-complete budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers on manpower, materials, and equipment.

Superintendent

We’re searching for a talented and driven Superintendent to join our team!

Your Day-to-Day

• Responsible for the leadership, oversight and management of onsite electrical superintendent / foremen
• Job involves regular, short notice travel to work sites and providing onsite leadership, job reviews, quality control and safety walks and inspections
• Assist/train foremen on job reviews to include initial, 25%, 50%,75% and closeout, plus cost to complete budgets and updates.
• Interact with project managers to address critical needs for job sites to include manpower, material and equipment
• Assist with the management of foremen and manpower to include regular reviews, projections and forecasting

What You’ll Bring To The Table

• 15+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
• Previous superintendent experience leading foremen and field crews on construction job sites
• Extensive electrical expertise including new construction and remodel installations, job planning, blueprint reading, conduit installation, wiring, device termination, testing, and troubleshooting
• Ability to mentor and direct foremen and construction electricians
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and company leadership
• Ability to efficiently order, receive, and distribute materials on job sites Experience with Procore preferred; strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, and Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
• Valid driver’s license required with willingness to travel and work nights, weekends, and overtime
