Job summary

Randstad USA seeks an Electrical Superintendent for projects nationwide, based in Kansas City, MO. The role supervises electrical components of major construction projects in power generation, with per diem for qualified candidates. 10+ years of experience preferred; per diem is available.

Typical hours are 9am–5pm. No degree is required. This contract position emphasizes safety, scheduling, and coordination with clients and subcontractors to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• 11 years construction management experience or craft supervision on electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee raceway, cable tray, electrical panels, ductbank, grounding, switchgear, transformers, LV/MV equipment wiring, motors, heat tracing, instrumentation and testing.
• Supervise overall construction effort: safety, productivity, materials, scheduling, engineering, and contractual performance.
• Ensure subcontractor contractual compliance on electrical construction activities.
• Build effective client and subcontractor relationships with client reps, A/E reps and other contractors.
• Collaborate with project management to develop procedures, working documents and standards.
• Authorize purchases and field changes under supervision of Construction Manager and Project Manager.

Job Summary

Electrical Superintendents needed for projects across the country! working with a leading engineering and construction firm, the electrical superintendent will supervise the electrical portions of major construction projects in the power generation space. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience. Per diem available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the oversight of the following project work activities: raceway, cable tray, electrical panels, ductbank, grounding, switchgear, transformers, low and medium voltage electrical equipment, wiring, motors, heat tracing, instrumentation, instrumentation calibrations, loop checks and point to point checks, and electrical and control testing.
• Responsible for overall supervision of construction effort, which includes: safety, productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, materials management, scheduling, engineering, and contractual performance of the project.
• Responsible for subcontractor contractual compliance on designated electrical construction related activities.
• Build effective client and subcontractor relationships. Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, and other contractors.
• Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project procedures, working documents, and standards.
• Authorize purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc., under supervision of Construction Manager and Project Manager.

Qualifications

11 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on electrical projects.
