Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Halsey, Oregon is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead the Electrical Maintenance team in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role reports to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager and focuses on safety, reliability, and efficiency.

The candidate will supervise day and rotating-shift technicians, coordinate maintenance execution, and drive improvements across EHS, quality, and production while leveraging SAP CMMS. Strong PLC and drive knowledge are required.

Qualifications

  • 2 years supervising maintenance technicians.
  • Minimum 5 years’ electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
  • Hands-on experience with single- and three-phase systems up to 2300 V; electrical controls, PLCs, AC/DC motor controllers and drives.
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP preferred), MS Word/Excel.
  • Experience in leading improvement efforts in Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Halsey’s Electrical Maintenance Team comprised of day and rotating-shift workers, who are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical / electronic systems and equipment in high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate maintenance execution efforts that drive improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
  • Facilitate team development and growth, individual skill development, problem-solving and issue resolution, and workplace culture by building employee commitment, ownership, and accountability.
  • Ensure Electrical Safe Work Practice compliance.
  • Perform Safety walks in the areas to improve employee engagement and maintenance performance.
  • Monitor the quality of craft work and provide directions to crew members to build capability and maximize efficiency.
  • Track departmental KPI’s and report on team performance.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) to schedule work.
  • Work closely with Operations Leaders, Technical Team, Electrical Planner, and Facilities / Utilities Engineer to ensure safe working environments, address issues, execute maintenance services, and improve the reliability and efficiency of assets.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 2 years supervising maintenance technicians.
  • Minimum 5 years’ electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings, including at least

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Associate degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field preferred.
  • Possess a Signing Supervisor’s License or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other similar problem-solving tools.
  • Required safety training: NFPA 70E or equivalent electrical safety, and OSHA 10/30 (or site‑specific equivalents).
  • Proficient reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
