Perform electrical studies and system protection work for generation facilities, substations, transmission systems, and distribution systems, including analysis, design studies, and compliance activities. Prepare technical reports and documentation, support project planning and field coordination, and assist project teams with risk assessment, design, construction, mitigation, and remediation.
Requires an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or computer engineering, and 3–5 years of relevant industry experience. Candidates should understand electrical engineering and power-system fundamentals and demonstrate analytical judgment, communication, technical writing, teamwork, and the ability to work independently; an EIT certification and progress toward PE registration are preferred.
