Job summary

Civiltec Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to produce essential electrical deliverables such as single line diagrams, control schematics, power and lighting plans for projects. Expertise with AutoCAD and electrical design tools is required for this role.

Responsibilities include coordination with Civil/Mechanical teams, developing panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and performing short-circuit calculations and arc flash analyses. Some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• EIT certification or FE exam passed is required.
• BSEE degree is required.
• AutoCAD experience is necessary; strong CAD skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical deliverables including SLDs, control schematics, and power plans.
• Create grounding, lighting plans, P&IDs and panel layouts.
• Prepare IO card wiring diagrams and network diagrams.
• Perform short circuit calculations, device coordination studies, and arc flash analysis.
• Conduct radio path signal analysis and photometric calculations.
• Interface with Civil/Mechanical teams and prepare memos/reports.
• Some travel required.

• Work under moderate supervision to produce deliverables as required for project needs
• Electrical deliverables that include:
  • Single Line Diagrams
  • Control Schematics
  • Power Plans
  • Grounding Plans
  • Lighting Plans
  • P&IDs
  • Control Panel Layout
  • IO Card wiring diagrams
  • Network Diagrams
• Develop Lighting Panel Schedules, Circuit Schedules, and Load Calculation Schedules.
• Perform Short Circuit Calculations, Protective Device Coordination Studies, and Arc Flash analysis
• Perform Radio Path Signal Analysis
• Perform Photometric Calculations
• Interface and coordinate with Civil/Mechanical project design team members.
• Prepare technical memorandums and reports
• Some travel required

Requirements

• EIT Certification or passed FE exam
• BSEE degree
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge with AutoCAD is necessary
• High competency with Word & Excel spreadsheets
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code is desired
• Working knowledge of water/wastewater system design concepts is desired
• Experience with electrical software such as AGI32, Pathloss, SKM, or E-Tap is desired
