Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Austin, TX is seeking a Lead Failure Analysis Engineer to perform device- and system-level FA, isolate electrical faults, and produce detailed FA reports. The role requires a BSEE with 5+ years in IC device FA and hands-on experience with silicon- and board-level FA, plus familiarity with advanced FA tools.

5 days in person at Austin location; salary range $120,000-$200,000 per year, with strong emphasis on equipment evaluation and technique development in FA.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• BSEE with 5+ years of experience or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, and a proven track record in performing failure analysis of IC devices and module level FA

Must have Skills and Qualifications

• BSEE with 5+ years of experience or equivalent degree of Engineering or physics and a proven track record in performing failure analysis of IC devices and module level FA.


• Hands-on proficiency with Physical and Electrical Failure Analysis at Silicon level.


• In-depth knowledge and proficiency with board level FA.


• Hands on experience with EFA tools such as LIT, TDR, FIB, SEM, RIE, CMP, MIP, and decapsulatation, sample preparation and Emission microscopy, Laser scan microscopy, micro-probing and Nano-probing.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Hand on experience in failure analysis in multiple tools and techniques. .


• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills


• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilit.
