CMC Electric, LLC is hiring a Field Service Tech – Residential Electrician to support the Raleigh-Durham area from our Clayton, NC base. If you value an independent, steady schedule and the chance to work hands-on with homes and small business electrical systems, this role offers that freedom with reliable pay.

You'll typically handle 3–4 service calls per day, travel to job sites, meet homeowners, assess needs, present options, and perform diagnostics and code‑compliant repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in residential electrical services.
• Thorough knowledge of residential electrical code.

Responsibilities

• Travel directly to Raleigh-Durham job sites from Clayton, working full-time.
• Meet homeowners, assess electrical needs, present options, and perform diagnostics and repairs in compliance with code.
• Typically complete 3–4 service calls per day, supported by dispatch.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A FIELD SERVICE TECH - RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICIAN

At least 4 years of experience in residential electrical services is preferred for this position. Does that sound like you? If so, and you meet the following criteria, we want you as our Field Service Tech - Residential Electrician!

DAY-TO-DAY

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Technicians dispatch directly from home to job sites, with no daily commute to a central office required.

In this role, you'll travel directly to job sites throughout the Raleigh-Durham area. You'll meet with homeowners, assess their electrical needs, present clear options, and perform diagnostics and repairs in compliance with code. You'll typically complete 3–4 service calls per day, supported by a responsive dispatch team and equipped with the tools and technology to perform at your best.
