Job summary

Superior EMP is seeking a Commercial Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install electrical equipment at customer sites across the region, starting daily from a home base and traveling to jobsites. You will provide high-quality service, document work, and support emergency power hookups during outages.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical experience in commercial service or construction, strong English communication, and safety compliance with OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical experience in commercial service or construction.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check.
• Proficient English communication to write reports and emails.
• Work safely per OSHA and workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install commercial electrical systems and equipment at customer sites.
• Pull and terminate wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, and raceways.
• Troubleshoot and repair emergency generators and temporary power systems, including transfer switches.
• Read and work from blueprints, sketches, and schematic drawings.
• Provide informative customer service regarding electrical repairs.
• Operate company vehicles per department policies and safety rules.
• Submit service paperwork and reports as required.
• Willing to take on additional duties to support the department.

Superior EMP is a growing multi-state contractor with more than 20 years of experience providing commercial electrical services to businesses across the region. Our team specializes in electrical service, repairs, and 24/7 emergency response for commercial facilities, delivering reliable solutions our clients depend on.

We are seeking a Commercial Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install commercial electrical equipment and provide emergency power hookups during power outages. In this role, you will independently perform service calls, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems while documenting work order progress. Technicians begin each day from their home base and travel directly to customer jobsites, providing efficient, high-quality service.

Schedule

• Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday
• Occasion travel and night shifts
• Overtime available but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Electrical diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of various commercial electrical wiring, power, and conduit systems
• Skilled in pulling and terminating wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, and/or raceways
• Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing emergency generators and temporary power systems, including automatic transfer switches and/or power distribution systems
• Knowledge of and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and/or HVAC motor control wiring is preferred
• Ability to work independently from blueprints, sketches, and schematic drawings
• Provide informative customer service regarding the nature of electrical repairs
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with department policies
• Proficient in the use of cell phone communication, GPS, and electronic documentation technology
• Submit service paperwork and reports as required by department policy
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department

Requirements

• Five or more years of electrical experience in commercial electrical service or construction roles
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check
• Proficient English communication skills required to write reports and emails
• Must be able to work according to safety guidelines, OSHA, and workplace policies
