Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. seeks a Commercial Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install electrical equipment for commercial facilities.

You will handle emergency power hookups during outages and travel from a home base to customer jobsites, delivering efficient service. Responsibilities include electrical diagnosis, troubleshooting, and documentation of work orders, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical experience in commercial service or construction.
• Proficient English communication skills for reports and emails.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check.
• Follow safety guidelines, OSHA and workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install commercial electrical wiring, power, and conduit systems.
• Pull and terminate wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, and raceways.
• Troubleshoot and repair emergency generators and temporary power systems, including ATS and distribution systems.
• Assist with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and HVAC motor control wiring (preferred).
• Work from blueprints and schematics; provide clear customer service explanations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install commercial electrical equipment and provide emergency power hookups during power outages. In this role, you will independently perform service calls, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems while documenting work order progress. Technicians begin each day from their home base and travel directly to customer jobsites, providing efficient, high-quality service.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Occasion travel and night shifts
• Overtime available but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Electrical diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of various commercial electrical wiring, power, and conduit systems
• Skilled in pulling and terminating wires in control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, and/or raceways
• Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing emergency generators and temporary power systems, including automatic transfer switches and/or power distribution systems
• Knowledge of and experience with refrigeration control wiring, Ansul systems, and/or HVAC motor control wiring is preferred
• Ability to work independently from blueprints, sketches, and schematic drawings
• Provide informative customer service regarding the nature of electrical repairs
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with department policies
• Proficient in the use of cell phone communication, GPS, and electronic documentation technology
• Submit service paperwork and reports as required by department policy
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department
