Miller Electric Company in Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major electrical contracting projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement while advancing your career within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• College degree and journeyman's license required.
• 10+ years of electrical contracting project management experience.
• Proficient with architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings; strong MS 365 skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are adhered to as specified.
• Generate estimates, prepare and review project plans, timelines, funding, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the project through on-site supervision to ensure design, budget, and schedule compliance. Interface with customer to confirm expectations.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage activities of all personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s).
• Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects.
• Frequent project visits with field supervision to understand progress and future needs.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials by coordinating with vendors.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues by delivering reliable, innovative solutions.
• Provide feedback and reports to the VP and manage the project review process focusing on financial forecasting.
• Mentor junior staff toward professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are adhered to as specified.
• Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposal or plan to determine and establish a timeframe, work plan, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
• Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the projectis built following design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion
• Plan, coordinate, and/or manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s)
• Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects
• Frequent project visits with field supervision and other personnel to understand any progress, needs, or issues. Assist in the planning of future labor/material needs of the project
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the jobsite by working directly with vendors
• Build long term relationships with both the clients and fellow employees by consistently meeting expectations and offering innovative solutions
• Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit vice president
• Manage project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting
• Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to subordinates and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals
• Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity
• Responsible for job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards for personnel under their supervision.
• Support and participate in company-sponsored initiatives and activities

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• A College degree, journeyman’s license
• 10+ years of experience in electrical contracting project management with a good understanding of electrical installations
• Proficient in architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings
• Strong computer & Microsoft 365 skills
• Familiar withcomputer-basedestimating for an itemby item estimating
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must understand billing and collections
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experienced in mentoring and managing project managers, assistant project managers and senior level trade professionals
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• 30 Hour OSHA Certification is required within the first year
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

PREFERRED

• Master Electrician’s License
• COINS (ERP System)
