Job summary

Miller Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Project Manager in Orlando to lead client-facing projects with a focus on quality and collaboration. The role reports to the Director/VP and emphasizes training, teamwork, and strong relationships both on and off-site.

You will develop projects through hands-on experience, peers, and ongoing technical training, with a comprehensive benefits package supporting health and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• A College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license.
• Understanding of electrical installations.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft 365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure policies/procedures adherence across company, client, and project.
• Generate estimates and create project plans, timelines, and staffing.
• Oversee on-site supervision to meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate activities of all personnel and subcontractors.
• Generate billings and manage collections.
• Visit sites regularly to assess progress and plan resources.
• Procure materials and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery.
• Build long-term client and team relationships with innovative solutions.
• Provide feedback to the business VP and forecast finances.
• Mentor subordinates and drive safety and compliance initiatives.

Job Summary

As a Project Manager, you’ll report directly to the Director and VP in a client‑facing role that requires building strong relationships both in and outside the office. You’ll develop through hands‑on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are adhered to as specified

• Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposal or plan todetermineandestablishatime frame, work plan, funding limitations, procedures foraccomplishingthe project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project

• Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project isbuiltin accordance withdesign, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with the customer tovalidateexpectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion

• Plan, coordinate, and/or manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s)

• Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects

• Frequent project visits with field supervision and other personnel to gain an understanding of any progress, needs, or issues.Assistin the planning of future labor/material needs of the project

• Ensuretimelyprocurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors

• Build long-term relationships with both the clients and fellow employees by consistently meeting expectations and offering innovative solutions

• Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit vice president

• Manage project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting

• Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to subordinates and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals

• Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity

• Responsible for job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards for personnel under his or her supervision.

• Support andparticipatein company-sponsored initiatives and activities

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• A College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license
• Understanding of electrical installations
• Strong computer skills - Specifically in Microsoft 365
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

PREFERRED

• Experience in dealing with industrial construction/contracting
• Electrical contracting assistant project management experience
• Familiar with computer-based estimating
• Familiar with COINS (ERP Software)
• Knowledge of billing and collections
