Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a safety-focused professional to join the semiconductor fab’s cleanroom at the client site. This on-site role requires daily safety inspections, compliant with regulations, and coaching coworkers on safe work practices.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or higher, OSHA or HAZWOPER certification, and 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or related fields; the position includes a 5-day on-site schedule, 7 AM–6 PM, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher required.
• Ability to pass a drug and background check.
• OSHA certification (10+) or HAZWOPER certification.
• 1+ year of professional experience in manufacturing/construction/industrial environments around heavy machinery.
• Military experience involving mechanical or electrical work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Input inspection data daily into an applicable computer program.
• Coach other workers in the cleanroom on safe work practices.
• Provide site orientation training for new employees on workplace safety procedures.
• Assist in investigation of incidents to determine root cause.
• Be a point of contact for safety-related inquiries in the cleanroom.
• Participate in site safety committee meetings.
• Represent the company professionally to customers and vendors.

Job description

On-site: 5 days/week in the fab 90-100% of the time. 7AM – 6 PM m-f

$20-$25 per hour with Overtime

• 1+ year of professional experience in the following positions:
• Manufacturing, Construction, Working in industrial environment around heavy machinery, prior military experience involving mechanical or electrical related work
• OSHA certification (10+) or HAZWOPER Certification

• Associates degree or higher in a science or safety related field
• Military experience
• First Aid/CPR certifications

Role Overview:

They will be working within the semiconductor fab in the cleanroom at the client’s customer site on a daily basis. They will foster a culture of safety and responsibility by ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. They will conduct regular workplace safety inspections in a semiconductor manufacturing environment to identify and assess potential hazards, input data from inspection results daily into an applicable computer program, coach other workers in the cleanroom on safe work practices. They will conduct site orientation training for new employees on workplace safety procedures and protocols. Assist in the investigation of incidents to determine the root cause, be a point of contact for safety-related inquiries or concerns in the cleanroom. Participate and contribute to site safety committee meetings. Provide a positive and professional image of the company to customers, vendors and co-workers. Possess a genuine desire to provide outstanding service by being enthusiastic and motivated.
