Electrical Repair Station Technician 4 (Lead) (H/F)
Job Summary:
The Repair Technician provides service and repair of mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic equipment in accordance with the current technical data. It requires technical knowledge, expertise, effective diagnostic, repair, and testing techniques related to a wide variety of equipment.
Summary of Duties:
- Performs skilled technician work that involves diagnosis, replacement, cleaning, repair, and rebuilding a variety of equipment, components, and/or systems.
- Uses diagnostic and test equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade.
- Applies principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
- Interprets and follows technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, government, and industry standard practices.
- Makes computer entries and completes various types of paperwork maintenance documents in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies.
- Follows industry/government specific guidelines, particularly as they relate to safety, health, and environmental practices.
- Assists with research and development of new repair capabilities; this will include reading and understanding new manuals and may include on and off-site training.
- Assists with the maintenance of shop equipment and supplies.
- Maintains an organized workstation and shop floor in accordance with 5S standards in place.
Education: High School diploma or 2-year technical degree (preferred)
Experience: 5+ years.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Other Skills:
- Excellent electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced department.
- Ability to handle stress diplomatically.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Strong knowledge of Aviation Maintenance.
- Ability to use common hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, depth gauges, flow meters, and pressure gauges.
- Ability to use electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters and temperature gauges.
- Ability to safely operate electrical equipment (power supplies) in accordance with company policies.
- Crimping and soldering skills.
- Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals and drawings to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Ability to train other repair technicians.
Preferred Skills (not required):
- 2-year technical degree
- Experience working in a repair station
- 14 CFR Part 65 repairman certification
