Job Summary:
The Repair Technician provides service and repair of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic equipment in accordance with the current technical data. It requires technical knowledge, expertise, effective diagnostic, repair and testing techniques related to a wide variety of equipment.

Summary of Duties:

  1. Performs skilled technician work that involves diagnosis, replacement, cleaning, repair and rebuilding a variety of equipment, components and/or systems.
  2. Uses diagnostic and test equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade.
  3. Applies principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
  4. Interprets and follows technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices.
  5. Makes computer entries and completes various types of paperwork maintenance documents in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies.
  6. Follows industry/government specific guidelines, particularly as they relate to safety, health and environmental practices.
  7. Assists with research and development of new repair capabilities; this will include reading and understanding new manuals and may include on and off site training.
  8. Assists with the maintenance of shop equipment and supplies.
  9. Maintains an organized workstation and shop floor in accordance with 5S standards in place.
Complementary Description

Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Job Requirements

Education: High School diploma or 2-year technical degree (preferred)
Experience: 5+ years.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Other Skills:

  1. Excellent electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
  2. Strong attention to details and work in a fast-paced department.
  3. Ability to handle stress diplomatically.
  4. Ability to communicate clearly in English language.
  5. Strong knowledge of Aviation Maintenance.
  6. Ability to use common hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, depth gauges, flow meters, pressure gauges.
  7. Ability to use electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters, temperature gauges.
  8. Ability to safely operate electrical equipment (power supplies) in accordance with company policies.
  9. Crimping and Soldering Skills.
  10. Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals and drawings in order to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  11. Ability to train other repair technicians.

Preferred Skills (not required):

  1. 2-year technical degree.
  2. Experience working in a repair station.
