Actalent is hiring an Electrical Reliability Engineer for a chemical manufacturing plant located in Hopewell, VA. The role leads electrical reliability projects, analyzes data, and drives improvements to equipment performance, safety, and longevity in a dynamic team environment.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in reliability engineering with hands-on LV/MV experience, VFDs, motors, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years as a reliability engineer with a focus on electrical systems.
• Hands-on with low/medium voltage distribution, VFDs, motors, motor control systems.
• Knowledge of electrical design, equipment selection, repair techniques and performance assessment.
• Familiarity with predictive tech like infrared inspections and diagnostic software.
• Experience with SAP or Meridium and similar data systems.
• Strong communication, leadership, and ability to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and control systems.
• Provide electrical oversight for Management of Change activities.
• Support capital projects from design through startup with reliability input.
• Lead RCFA teams and apply lean principles to improve processes.
• Develop reliability control plans for electrical systems and equipment.
• Analyze failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
