Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking an electrical engineer to design, build, and optimize power systems for world‑class facilities and data centers. You will work with MEP engineers, trade partners, and internal customers, exercising autonomy to tackle diverse, complex problems in a fast‑paced environment that aims to make life multiplanetary.

You will lead detailed electrical design for distribution systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems, while supporting maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience on electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPSs, and/or generators.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS units, standby and emergency generators.
• Develop lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and data/communications distribution schemes.
• Provide engineering support for operation and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems.
• Coordinate installations with utilities and ensure code compliance (NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, IBC).
• Review power budgets and ensure interfacing with mechanical systems.
