Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify power distribution assemblies against engineering drawings, torque specs, UL requirements and internal quality standards. The role emphasizes early defect detection and strict adherence to Lean principles to protect customers from nonconforming products.

Responsibilities include in-process and final inspections, torque audits, Hi-Pot testing, and meticulous documentation of nonconformances, with cross-training to support receiving

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing quality (electronics/defense/automotive)
• Basic understanding of UL & NEC standards

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify assemblies meet schematics, BOMs, and torque requirements.
• Conduct torque audits using calibrated tools; verify hardware type, grade, and washer usage per engineering drawings.
• Execute final visual inspections and perform Hi-Pot / dielectric testing prior to energization.
• Complete inspection records accurately, document nonconformances, and tag, segregate, and support rework verification of defective material.
• Identify, contain, and elevate abnormal or unsafe conditions by stopping shipment, placing product on hold, and coordinating re-inspection with Quality or Engineering.
