Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Quality Control Tech to support QA/QC and commissioning on electrical construction projects. The role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel to ensure testing, documentation, and inspection requirements are met and quality standards are maintained on site.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years in electrical construction, 2+ years in QA/QC auditing, and strong knowledge of NFPA 70/70E safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in electrical construction.
• Minimum 2 years of QA/QC auditing management in a construction setting.
• Experience with electrical equipment and safe testing, QC and commissioning.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 and 70E safety standards.
• Strong data acquisition, Excel/MS Office and Bluebeam skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing and inspection reports with project management.
• Facilitate submissions of testing/inspection reports with engineering.
• Develop and execute QC plans for projects.
• Lead QC documentation (reports, test data, logs, daily reports).
• Coordinate with 3rd-party testing firms as needed.
• Conduct regular site walks to verify QC activities.
• Ensure adherence to QC standards and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with commissioning team to resolve deficiencies.
• Provide clear, concise client communications.
