Job summary

Faith Technologies Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer 1 to lead the development, implementation, and coordination of QA/QC plans. You will conduct on-site training and auditing of job site QA/QC activities under supervision, coordinating with the QA/QC Manager and project teams.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5 years of hands-on field commissioning experience and strong documentation skills, plus NEC knowledge and strong interpersonal communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (BS EE or BS EET).
  • 5 years of hands-on field commissioning experience with documentation.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; TN1 visa option for Canadians only.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate project QA/QC plans and documents.
  • Conduct on-site/j ob site training, coaching, and auditing of QA/QC activities.
  • Define QA/QC requirements with Preconstruction/Project Managers at project start.
  • Create relational data sets from drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Ensure installations meet specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Provide reports and support for field QA/QC activities.

The QA Engineer 1 is responsible for the successful development, implementation, and coordination of project QA/QC plans and documents, as well as conducting on-site/job site training, coaching, and auditing of job site QA/QC activities. This work is completed under the general oversight of an upper level QA Engineer, and in coordination with the QA/QC Manager. Ideal candidates must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, good interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills are required, ability to understand one-lines, schematics & drawings is necessary, Knowledge of electrical terminology and components is necessary, and knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) is required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Preconstruction Managers and Project Managers at the beginning of projects to define QA/QC requirements and establish plans to complete QA/QC documentation and other deliverables.
  • Create relational data sets such as equipment list, equipment group, feeders, feeder schedule and commissioning class from project construction drawings, electrical specifications and submittals.
  • With direction from upper level QA Engineer, completes detailed procedures and checklists to document the equipment is installed to the specifications.
  • Assist QA Site Lead with establishing structure and training for generating field data and systems.
  • Conducts field surveys, collects and enters data to ensure that installations conform to applicable standards and customer requirements.
  • Provide support material or reports to Project Managers as required.
  • Provide reports that document the installation conforms to applicable standards as well as customer requirements.
  • Provide support for field QA/QC activities through research and addressing needs during the QA/QC process.
  • Provide guidance to office and field teams to ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design, code, and equipment specifications.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
